Signing on students, staff, and teachers takes persistence and repetition. We wanted to share some helpful tricks, tips, and tools we’ve collected from schools to help boost program participation among students and their families.
Provide regular program updates to your community
A weekly note from the superintendent or principal highlighting the current number of students/staff participating, the number of pools conducted, and positivity rate can also serve as a helpful reminder for parents to sign up (see example email templates attached at the bottom of this page).
Address most critical questions from parents
We’ve put together a frequently asked questions document geared towards parents based on what we’ve heard are common questions to participating in the program (see example email templates attached at the bottom of this page). We encourage you to share that with parents, alongside a reminder of the link where parents can provide consent and your organization-specific code.
Foster some friendly competition
Everyone loves competition! We’ve heard some districts have made pooled testing participation rates competitive amongst schools, homerooms, sports teams, and other extracurriculars. Winners could receive school swag, a pizza party, or other fun prizes.
