An indeterminate result for a rapid antigen test means that it is neither positive nor negative. You will need to re-test to confirm your COVID-19 status. Please contact your organization’s Test Champion or coordinator to discuss next steps.
An indeterminate result can occur if you test too soon from the time you were exposed to the virus. It can also occur if there was a problem with how the sample was collected, or the test itself. It is possible you may have the virus; therefore, it is recommended that you take precautions to prevent further spread. If you are infected, you can pass the infection to others through coughing, sneezing and exhaling. It is very important to stay home and limit your interaction with others while you wait to be retested.
If you are seeking clinical advice regarding an indeterminate result, please reach out to PWN Health at 315-401-7865 or your primary healthcare provider to discuss.
